Avondale Media Announces "Essentials of Word X" DVD Training Course
SAN FRANCISCO, JANUARY 8 -- Learning Microsoft Word X is about to get a lot easier. Avondale Media today announced Essentials of Word X, an instructional DVD for the latest version of Microsoft's powerhouse word processor for Apple's Mac OS X.
"Word X is a beautiful, powerful program," said Steve Broback, President of Avondale Media and the featured instructor of Essentials of Word X. "But it's also a complex program. This course will help newcomers learn Word X while also giving experienced users new insights into the program."
Essentials of Word X contains approximately 90 minutes of instruction, divided into ten sections. Topics covered include navigating Word X's
palettes and toolbars, formatting characters and paragraphs, specifying document structure and text boundaries, troubleshooting common errors, printing options, and much more. Each lesson also contains tips and timesavers that will appeal to Word X users of all experience levels.
Essentials of Word X fully exploits the unique advantages of DVD technology. Interactivity and random-access features enable users to easily review material and jump to specific lessons. The DVD also contains Web links that lead to sites containing additional Word X tips and learning resources.
"We're taking advantage of DVD's strengths to make learning easy," said Jim Heid, Editorial Director of Avondale Media. "And we're doing it at prices that everyone can afford."
Essentials of Word X is Avondale Media's debut title. "We're bullish on Mac OS X and Office v. X for Mac," said Steve Broback. "As long-time Mac geeks, we wanted our first title to showcase the stunning look and feel of OS X and Office X."
